A security guard has been shot dead during a drive-by shooting in the Springfield Park area in Durban. Emer-G-Med paramedic Spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says it is believed that a group of unknown suspects opened fire on the man as he arrived at work.
“On arrival on the scene, a man believed to be approximately 50 years of age was found to have sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was declared deceased on arrival by paramedics, says Van Reenen.
“Reports from the scene allege the man to be a security officer. He was shot by an unknown number of suspects in a drive-by shooting. As he was arriving at his place of work. The South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigations accordingly,” adds Van Reenen..
