The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) faced countrywide lunchtime pickets today that was organised by staff who are against the ongoing retrenchments at the public broadcaster.
Employees from Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, Northern Cape and other regions of the country have taken time out to show their disapproval of the continuing Section 189 of the Labour relations Act.
The protests were also attended by members of different political structures including the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Congress Of the People (COPE).
