Police yet to confirm whether KZN shooting took place at ANC meeting

Police are yet to confirm whether the three people who were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting at Inanda north of Durban had been attending an African National Congress (ANC) committee meeting in the area.

Another five people were wounded.

Provincial police spokesperson Jay Naicker says a group of people was standing outside a school when the occupants of a vehicle opened fire.

He says, “At this stage, we received a report of three people that have passed away, that is three females and we also received a report of five that were injured during the shooting, four females and 1 male. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.”
