Deputy President David Mabuza, Gauteng Premier David Makhura and members of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19 vaccines are on a vaccine rollout outreach programme in Mogale City, west of Johannesburg.
The visit on Thursday morning is aimed at assessing the COVID-19 vaccines rollout programme in the area.
Mabuza visited a pop-up vaccination site at Kagiso mall and he is also expected to visit the Kagiso Taxi rank.
The West Rand District Municipality has been identified as the lowest-performing sub-district with only 8% of the total population vaccinated.
