Law will not favour anyone regarding the instigation of recent violence: Ntshavheni

Acting Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says if investigations into who instigated the recent looting and violence lead to the children of former President Jacob Zuma, among others, they will be arrested and prosecuted.

Zuma is serving a 15-month sentence for contempt of court. Ntshavheni says law enforcement agencies are working around the clock in making sure that the instigators are brought to book.

The acting minister was addressing the media following the cabinet meeting. Ntshavheni says the law won’t favour anyone.

“Let me deal with the question of whether the Minister of Police has indicated whether the Zuma children will be investigated. We have indicated that the investigations will affect everyone irrespective of whose child they are and which position they occupy. If they are implicated they will be investigated, they will be arrested,” says Ntshavheni.
