KZN MEC to visit Mooi River to assess damage

KwaZulu-Natal Transport MEC Peggy Nkonyeni and Economic Development MEC Ravi Pillay are expected to visit Mooi River to assess the extent of the damage.

Police remain on the N3 in Mooi River where 23 trucks were torched on Friday night.

The carnage caused a heavy traffic backlog and over 22 hours long clean up operation.

With the Mooi River Toll Plaza now open to traffic, a number of trucks have resumed their journeys on the north and southbound carriageways.
