Former IFP leader and traditional prime minister of the Zulu monarch and nation, prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, has dismissed claims around the health of king Goodwill Zwelithini.
He has described claims that the king’s health is being kept a secret as cruel and false rumours.
In the statement, Buthelezi says the claims have inflicted pain on the Royal Family. He also says that Zwelithini is not frail in any way and is fully mobile.

Prince Buthelezi says the king’s doctors preferred that he be treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to attend to his condition thoroughly.
King Zwelithini was admitted to the hospital last week to receive treatment for unstable blood glucose levels.
