Democratic Alliance (DA) Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille writes that she will never forget that, shortly after she was suspended by her own party, during a time when she was almost completely shunned by people in the DA whose lives and careers she had helped build, it was President Jacob Zuma who reached out to her.
