As of Sunday, cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa at 1 412 986 with 8 147 new cases identified since the last report.
The, the South African Health Department has reported cumulative total of tests conducted to date at 7 993 126 with 46 119 new tests conducted since the last report.
The recoveries now stand at 1 230 520, representing a recovery rate of 87%.

The government says regrettably, they report 300 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 43, Free State 15, Gauteng 45, Kwa-Zulu Natal 70, Mpumalanga six, North West 14, Northern Cape two and 105 Western Cape.
This brings the total to 40 874 deaths.
Government convey condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
